Crimpers
Incorrect flanging can be recognized:
Correct flanging
Flat cap surface
Flat septum surface

Tight fit of the aluminum cap edge
Tarpaulin and undamaged cap sides

Non-adhering aluminum cap edges
Adjust the flanging pressure using the adjusting screw in the handle
+
Adjust the flare height using an Allen key
(undercrimped)

Curvature of the flared cap
Adjust the flanging pressure using the adjusting screw in the handle
+
Adjust the flare height using an Allen key
(over-crimped)

Deformation of the cap sides
Adjust the flare height using an Allen key
(over-crimped)

Convex-looking sealing washer
Adjust the flanging pressure using the adjusting screw in the handle
(over-crimped)

Rounded cap edges / upward curvature of the cap / disk
It is particularly important not to overcrimp headspace caps. If the aluminum is pulled too far under the rolled edge, the retaining webs of the predetermined breaking lines suffer from too much pressure and break open even at low internal bottle pressure (less than 3 bar) or – in the worst case – even tear in two next to the predetermined breaking lines.

Manual Crimping Tools
Standard Version
- Simple and convenient handling
- Hardened closing jaws for a long service life
- Available for 8 – 32 mm caps
- For standard aluminum caps, Flip Top / Flip Off, Flip Tear Up
- The flange pressure limiter is adjustable by means of an adjusting screw
- Opening clamps do not need to be adjusted
- Also available in stainless steel as a cleanroom version in 11, 13, and 20 mm
The standard opening and closing tools are characterized by their simple design and rectangular handle, which allows the tools to be gripped and crimped at any point. There is an adjusting screw in the handles with which the crimping pressure can be adjusted.
The free-standing version is also optionally available in stainless steel as a cleanroom version. (see illustration)

Ergonomic Version
- Quick and easy adjustment using the adjustment knob
- Extremely lightweight plastic body
- Also available for flip-off caps
- For cap sizes from 8 – 20 mm
The ergonomically curved handle design adapts to your natural grip, which significantly improves comfort compared to rectangular metal handles.
The body is made of robust, lightweight and glass fiber-reinforced plastic for greater strength.
The handle design with lower pull is more stable to hold than handle designs with upper push.
It is easy to hold the conical jaws of the crimper in a stable position when the lower handle is pulled up.
The adjustment knob is conveniently positioned on the head of the crimper and clearly displays + and – symbols together with direction arrows. This makes it easier to set the intensity of the desired crimp.
The crimp setting is reached when the button touches the crimp body. No more “additional pressing” necessary!

Electric Opening and Closing Tools
The High Power Crimping Tool is equipped with interchangeable crimping and opening heads so that you only need one tool for different functions in your laboratory.
The various heads are available as flanging and opening tools, which are used with standard aluminum, two-piece aluminum/steel and steel roll edge closures.
The tools are ergonomically designed to reduce strain and arm injuries associated with many manual crimping tools.
The heads are available in cap sizes 8 mm (crimping tools only), 11 mm, 13 mm, and 20 mm, including flip-off caps in sizes 13 mm and 20 mm.
The heads are easy to replace.
Simply insert the jaw set into the socket on the underside of the tool. Press upwards and turn until the set clicks into place.
To remove, press and turn the outer knob.
- The high-performance version of the electronic crimping tool has a fixed power supply and a cable. (No battery)
- Uses interchangeable flanging and opening heads
- OLED screen displays tool size, crimp setting and cycle result
- The settings menu shows service life statistics, log of the last cycles, 8 language options and reset functions
- Strong enough for all steel and magnetic caps
- Practical controls on the top of the device for adjusting the crimp
- For flip-off caps, available in sizes 13 mm and 20 mm*
*Not for use with flip-up caps
- Optional base and mounting kit
